Collectible dolls, clothes, and supplies

The doll has been, and will most likely continue to be the most popular toy of all time. There are countless different types of dolls that have been created since the dawn of man, but they actually cross species boundaries and are also used by many zoo and domesticated animals although they cannot create them. A baby leopard can be fed with a stuffed version of their mom if she is not around and apes can learn to properly raise their young with dolls when they do not have their traditional tutors (their parents) and environment.
Dolls are so universally accepted and used by children that their love for these toys often extends into adulthood with collectible dolls and their numerous accessories. This ancient toy has appealed to cave-kids and modern babies alike although the materials and methods used have progressed quite a bit since the first wooden dolls. They are often made of a variety of materials including plastic, porcelain, wood, metal, and fabric and can be simple or incredibly complex. Typical features on many of these toys are eyes that close when the doll is laid horizontally.
Baby dolls were traditionally handmade and although many dolls are still handmade today the vast majority are made in a factory and assembled and inspected by hand. They often depict babies or young girls and boys although there are many fantastical beasts such as fairies as well as many animals.
Collecting dolls can be a daunting task due to the sheer amount of them that have been made. Most doll collectibles are from well established doll-makers that have been producing these toys for decades or longer. Antique and vintage dolls are the most collectible although there are many modern dolls that have been widely collected such as beanie babies. Paper dolls are great for collectors as well and can be proudly displayed on walls in elegant frames turning them from toys into high art.
Collectible dolls can be realistic although they often have stylistic additions that set them apart from other dolls. Realism is good for a doll and will promise fair popularity but the really high priced dolls have unique styling and often impossible features and measurements, just look at Barbie dolls, the most popular toy ever put into production and collected by young and old alike. Collectible teddy bears are also popular.
It can be quite the task locating specific collectibles. The internet is a great place to browse but these collectibles are often priced high. The best deals are often found in forgotten thrift stores and even more widely at garage sales where one never knows what treasure they can find.
